Prayer Shawl
I belong to the prayer shawl ministry at church and recently I’ve just finished a shawl and it is immediately needed. This is my latest shawl that went to a woman who lost her son. I felt the shawl was full of power and hope she feels the strength of the prayers in it.

I found this pattern in an Interweave Crochet magazine. It was for a top and I just took the stitch and made it into the shawl.

Got a late start in life knitting and crocheting. I started crocheting because everyone else was knitting and I like to be different. My starting point was with the prayer shawl ministry at church. I got lots of practice and got better each shawl I made. Then I started seeing cool knit items and finally broke down and taught myself how to knit as well. I got a great book Fearless Knitting to teach me and started with LOTS of dish cloths. I'm getting better at both knitting and crocheting all the time and hope that will be borne out with these blog entries.
